The global e-mobility infrastructure is growing rapidly โ and so are the technological demands placed on its hardware. The HMI (Human-Machine Interface) is the central physical point of contact between the user and the charging station. In outdoor environments, these interfaces must withstand extreme conditions โ from scorching heat to heavy rain and frost.
For a charging station to operate reliably 24/7, a standard display simply isn't enough. What's needed is a technological symbiosis of robust PCAP touch, precise lamination, and professional optical bonding for displays.
At an e-charging station, the touchscreen must respond under all circumstances โ whether it's raining, snowing, or the user is wearing thick work gloves.
Our PCAP systems are calibrated to distinguish moisture from genuine touch input. Ghost touches caused by rain are reliably eliminated.
Precise touch recognition even with work gloves โ reliably under all weather conditions in outdoor deployments.
We achieve maximum brilliance and clarity by fully bonding the display and cover glass using a specialised two-component liquid silicone. This process is the benchmark for industrial outdoor applications.
Why we consistently rely on silicone:
Charging stations are often exposed to direct sunlight. Our silicone bonding is fully UV-stable and will not yellow. We also integrate IR filters directly into the glass assembly to protect the panel from thermal overheating (the so-called black-out effect).
By eliminating the air gap, moisture can no longer condense inside the display. The screen remains clearly readable under all climatic conditions.
The elastic silicone acts as a shock absorber during extreme temperature fluctuations and mechanical impacts.
Modern e-charging stations are increasingly evolving into multifunctional information hubs. This calls for larger displays to support advertising and intuitive user guidance.
Especially during charging processes with high currents, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is critical for the reliable operation of touch systems.
We integrate ultra-fine metal mesh structures that block interference signals and ensure the flawless operation of the touch controller.
In the event of severe damage, our optical bonding holds the glass assembly together. No dangerous splinters are released into the surroundings โ an essential safety feature in public spaces.
A display for modern charging infrastructure must be a technological powerhouse. With our expertise in cleanroom lamination and large-format silicone bonding, we deliver the hardware that makes your systems future-proof.
